Women's Integrated Sexual Health (WISH2)

Challenge
WISH 2 seeks to improve access and uptake of reproductive health services for the newest generation of youth across multiple countries in Africa. But for countries like Sudan, South Sudan, and Somalia, with large population in displaced person camps and in need of humanitarian assistance, we needed to create content that meets their unique needs, inspired action, while incorporating trauma informed methodologies.
Outcome
We designed “Together for Each Other”, an integrated brand platform that was adapted to all the countries. We designed a multi-media kit for Sudan, South Sudan, and Somalia that included radio drama, community activation kits, radio campaign, video/tv content along with training and capacity building materials tailored to the needs of each country, including displaced persons camps and humanitarian settings.
Approach
In 2026, Khanga Rue led a multi-country co-design process across Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia and Burundi to support the creation of a single SBC brand across these countries, based on the foundations of a brand platform that Khanga Rue had previously developed with JHU CCP for South Sudan called “Sawa la Baad”. We also designed and produced a suite of tailored content for all countries that included radio ads, radio drama, IEC content, social media kits, and community activation, such as board games.
