Strength is in You (SIIY)

Challenge
Drug and Alcohol use disorder remains a major problem for Zimbabwe’s youth. In 2024, PSH launched the first national campaign to raise awareness around the issue. Now it was Khanga Rue’s task to refresh the campaign, build on its success, refine the messaging to include wider audiences, and create content more aligned with today’s new media formats.
Outcome
A multi-media SBC program with multiple touchpoints that included a wide swath of Zimbabwe society, from spiritual leaders, cultural leaders, youth leaders and people with lived experience. The campaign garnered millions of impressions through it’s short, punchy content along with wide recall across Zimbabwe through traditional media (Radio, OOH).
Approach
Through a human centred approach, Khanga Rue co-designed social media campaigned featuring people with lived experiences with drug and alcohol use disorder - including celebrities.
A series featuring fresh, fun and relatable content about the ins and outs of having a safe, healthy sex life.

Much of the content from the Sister Pack is repackaged through short, punchy, TikTok style tutorial and testimonials by former TAA youth leaders and other young girls.

A library of stories that educate on contraceptive methods that can be used amongst the target audience: Injection, the Pill, IUD, Implants, Emergency Contraceptives and Abstinence
