Khanga Rue Media (KRM) is the premier Tanzanian communications agency specializing in health care and behavior change communication. Since our inception in 2012, Khanga Rue has conceptualized and executed some of the most visible SBCC campaigns in Tanzania, including three successful recent partnerships with JHU/USAID (Aiisseee!, Wazazi Nipendeni, Tunakuthamini). We have also developed national campaigns for Unicef, PSI, Marie Stopes Tanzania, CDC Foundation, EU Development Fund, World Women’s Banking, and Africare. We have immersed our team in a wide range of challenges facing East Africa, from nutrition, to maternity health, to financial inclusion and family planning.
Our work has been featured in global conferences and forums and industry magazines such as adsoftheworld.com and Contagious Magazine. Last year, we were awarded a Gold Africannes Award for our youth campaign “Amani Kwanza”. KRM has a diverse and highly versatile Tanzanian creative team that is able to execute across multiple platforms and create media to fit the format we believe will have the best impact and achieve our objectives.
In addition to traditional ATL media, we have made game-shows, soap operas, radio dramas, documentaries and social media campaigns. We combine local insight, creativity and evidence based theory to meet the challenges of crafting messaging and media for Tanzania’s rural, hard-to-reach population. In addition to our creative team, we have a highly experienced technical production team for video and audio content, including our own recording studio and mobile recording unit.
